Meet Kelsey Pederson, LCSW

I believe that people desire to be fully known and completely accepted for who they are. I believe everyone has value and believe in treating everyone with kindness, respect, and compassion. My primary vantage point is that people are a part of their environment and all aspects of a person's life shape who they are today. I utilize a trauma informed relational based approach that incorporates Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), motivational interviewing, Life Story work, psychoeducation, and mindfulness practices.

I am a licensed clinical social worker and gradated with my masters in social work from Portland State University.

I work collaboratively with clients to help them identify their obstacles, blind spots, strengths, support systems, and goals. This can be anywhere from depression, anxiety, social anxiety, trauma, self esteem, career and life changes, autism spectrum disorder, and other clinical disorders, to family, parenting, and relational challenges.

I am passionate about building relationships with people and supporting them in discovering their identity, building healthy relationships, and expanding their life skills. It takes courage to be vulnerable and take a step towards change. It is my honor to be a small part of your journey.
